Wound Care Nurse Practitioner - Program Director Ridgecrest Regional Hospital · Wound Care Ridgecrest , CA Nursing Full Time , Varies Posted 10/07/2025 Job Summary Salary: $70.00–$105.00/hour Working Hours: 40 hours/week Shifts: Varies On-Call: No Degree Required: Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) with wound care experience Position Type: Full Time Work Environment: Hospital Clinic / Post-Acute / Long-Term Care Location: 93555, Ridgecrest, California, United States Job Description We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Wound Care Nurse Practitioner – Program Director to lead the development of a comprehensive wound care program across Ridgecrest Regional Hospital’s acute, long-term care, ambulatory, and post-acute settings. This is a unique opportunity to shape a system-wide clinical service that improves healing outcomes and enhances quality of care. In this leadership role, you will provide direct patient care within your scope of practice, including rounding and writing orders, while also supervising a wound care nurse and other clinical professionals. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure best practices and consistency in wound treatment protocols. Patient Care & Treatment Deliver advanced wound care services across multiple care environments, rounding on patients, evaluating wound healing, and initiating treatment plans. Educate patients, caregivers, and families on wound care. You’ll also be responsible for documentation and collaboration with attending providers to ensure safe, effective care. Develop and oversee the wound care program, including treatment protocols, staff education, and quality standards. Supervise wound care staff and coordinate with physicians, nursing, rehabilitation, and home health teams. Participate in QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) initiatives, ensuring program-wide alignment with evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
