Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in a blended Cardiovascular Care Unit with 18 CVICU beds and 12 CVIMCU beds
• Cares for patients 16 years and older with primary cardiac diagnoses including heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, CABG, valve repair/replacement, VATS/thoracotomy, IABP therapy, Impella insertion, post-PCI, pacemaker insertion, ablation, arrhythmia, STEMI/NSTEMI, and EKOS
• Night shift schedule of 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Floating required within the facility and to nearby affiliated facilities, with priority floating to a nearby hospital approximately 15 minutes away
• Epic charting experience is required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oregon license not required at time of submission; pending licensure acceptable)
• Active OR RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required, with telemetry experience
• Prior experience with shock program management preferred
• Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with CABG, TAVR, Impella, IABP, valve repair/replacement, and VAD management preferred
• Travel nursing experience required

• Former employees of the health system are not eligible for travel assignments until six months have passed since their termination date
• Block scheduling is not accommodated and finalized time-off requests must be submitted prior to consideration
• Assignments generally begin within 3-4 weeks of the current date
