Cook Helper (Class I) – Minnetonka High School 4 positions available at 4–6 hours per day ($21.72 per hour) JobID: 9271 Posting Information Date Posted: 5/1/2026 Location: Minnetonka High School (MHS) Date Available: August 24, 2026 Assignment Four positions available starting in the 2026‑2027 school year. Each position requires 4‑6 hours per day, with applicant choice in half‑hour increments. Building assignment is subject to change based on staffing needs. Positions work on all school days. Training and kitchen opening will take place the week before school starts on August 24‑26. Wages and Benefits $21.72 per hour. Six‑hour per day positions provide medical and dental benefit eligibility. Details of pay rates and benefits are available in the school district’s Schedule A. Job Responsibilities Follows Cook Manager or Cook’s instruction in heating, cooking, and pre‑dishing food, as well as setting up serving areas. Follows instructions in portioning, garnishing, and serving of food items. Follows instructions and procedures in clean‑up of kitchen and serving areas. Follows standards of safety and sanitation in handling, storing, and serving of food items. Accurately performs record‑keeping functions as requested by Cook Manager. Assists in preparing food items. Performs point‑of‑sale and cashiering duties as part of kitchen rotation. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Job Qualifications Computer experience helpful. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Must have basic math skills. Must enjoy working with students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, supervisor, and the general public.
