Exercise Physiologist

Your future role at a glance Location: Bastrop, TX Facility: Ascension Seton Bastrop Department/Specialty: Cardiac Rehab Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 am - 3:30 pm How you'll make an impact in this role Design, implement, and supervise personalized therapeutic exercise plans, adjusting protocols based on patient status, medication regimens, and real‑time physiological responses. Conduct comprehensive pre‑ and post‑rehabilitation testing and data analysis to evaluate patient progress and ensure the clinical efficacy of treatment plans. Identify contraindications and abnormal responses to exercise, provide immediate clinical intervention, and deliver health education to patients and the community. Oversee department activities and equipment maintenance in the absence of management, ensuring high standards of record‑keeping, scheduling, and regulatory compliance. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Exercise Physiologist specializing in Strength & Conditioning credentialed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. What additional requirements you'll need Clinical experience or internship in Cardiac Rehab or with Cardiac Telemetry preferred.
