- As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) , your primary responsibility is the improvement of resident functionality through therapy.
- Treat patients, under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Handle routine treatment of hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, cryotherapy, massage, traction, predetermined exercises, ambulation skills, and functional activities.
- Assist in tests, gait analysis, and prosthetic checkouts.
- Assist in instruction for the patient and family in transfers, exercises, and ambulation.
- Continued support of goal achievement.
- Helping patients in their restoration of wellness and independence.
- Certified as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Pennsylvania
- Long-term care experience preferred
- CPR Certification required
