Part-Time Teacher Temp

Part‑Time Teacher Temp Teach English to international students at Kaplan International Central Park. Flexible schedule: 15–30 hours per week, starting as soon as the end of April. Key Job Responsibilities Teach courses at any level using the KI curriculum as assigned. Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and maximize student satisfaction. Advise and counsel students on academic performance and goals. Incorporate feedback from the Academic Director to improve teaching quality. Prepare lesson plans and submit them to the Academic Director. Accurately record attendance and student performance; submit rosters and Individual Student Reports (ISRs). Attend instructor meetings and in‑house workshops to enhance teaching skills. Use teaching technology (e.g., Smartboards) to enhance learning experience. Communicate absences to school staff; provide lesson plans and materials for substitutes. Adhere to company policies and procedures. Complete other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent). Superior classroom engagement skills. Authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications TESOL, CELTA, TEFL certificate or 12+ months ESL/EFL teaching experience. Experience with international students and/or 2+ years of international teaching. Foreign language proficiency. Physical Requirements Sitting/standing. Lifting up to 20 lbs. Carrying, grasping, reaching. Visual acuity. Writing, speaking, listening. Pay Hourly rate: $21.00–$25.00 (depending on experience) plus $500 sign‑on bonus after a specified period. Pay transparency (NYC guidelines): Average $23.27, minimum $21.00, maximum $26.12.
