Position Overview:
We are seeking an exceptional Licensed Massage Therapist to join the opening team of a premier luxury spa in Rockwood, Tennessee. This position is ideal for a highly skilled, intuitive therapist who is passionate about wellness, personalized care, and delivering an elevated level of hospitality.
Our spa philosophy combines therapeutic expertise, restorative wellness, thoughtful details, and genuine hospitality. Every treatment should feel intentional, highly personalized, and memorable.
The Massage Therapist will provide customized massage and bodywork experiences designed to promote relaxation, recovery, mobility, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate combines excellent technical ability with an intuitive understanding of the guest and the discretion expected within a luxury resort environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform exceptional customized massage and bodywork treatments
• Conduct thoughtful consultations and tailor each treatment to the guest's individual needs and preferences
• Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of modalities, including Swedish, deep tissue, therapeutic, and restorative massage
• Incorporate stretching, mobility, recovery, and other techniques when appropriate
• Maintain impeccable treatment rooms and prepare each space to luxury resort standards
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and infection-control protocols
• Maintain professional boundaries and protect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Educate guests on appropriate wellness, recovery, and self-care recommendations
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of spa treatments, products, amenities, and wellness offerings
• Support spa events, member experiences, and special wellness programming
• Collaborate with fellow therapists, aestheticians, nail technicians, and spa leadership to provide a seamless guest experience
• Maintain accurate treatment documentation when required

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee Massage Therapist License in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program
• Previous experience in a luxury resort, private club, destination spa, or high-end wellness environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, contraindications, and therapeutic bodywork
• Excellent hands-on technique with the ability to customize pressure and treatment style
• Professional, polished appearance and demeanor
• Warm, intuitive communication style with exceptional emotional intelligence
• Strong understanding of guest privacy, discretion, and professional boundaries
• Dependable, collaborative, and committed to exceptional standards
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including select weekends, holidays, and special events as required

Preferred Experience
Additional training or certification in modalities such as sports massage, myofascial release, assisted stretching, lymphatic techniques, cupping, hot stone therapy, prenatal massage, or recovery-focused bodywork is highly valued.
Experience working with athletes, active individuals, or performance-focused clientele is also beneficial.
