About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12-14 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required in Emergency Room or equivalent size License: Active license required before start Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required (must be willing to obtain if offered) Must-Have: Level II or III trauma experience Previous travel experience Description: This position offers a 12-14 week contract with a desired end date of 1/9. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting of equivalent size. Facility prefers candidates with 5-8 years of experience. Experience with adults and children is required. Previous charge experience is a plus. Candidates should possess skills in managing various emergency situations such as abdominal pain, asthma, drug overdoses, and gunshot wounds. Monitoring and care of ventilated patients, central line care, and chest tube management are essential skills. Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is important for this role. Skills in triage and managing behavioral health conditions are necessary. The daily census involves treating a diverse patient age group from neonates to geriatrics. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams. An on-site drug screen will be conducted prior to starting the assignment.
