Position Overview
Target World Inc. is celebrating 46 years of growth and excellence in the shooting sports industry! We are seeking motivated, customer-focused Firearms Sales Associates to join our team.
While your core focus will be customer sales, this all-encompassing role offers the opportunity to cross-train as a Range Safety Officer (RSO) and Firearms Instructor based on your qualifications and background. Whether you have extensive retail sales experience, a background in online sales, or law enforcement/military training, we want to hear from you.
Primary Responsibilities
Firearms & Retail Sales
- Greet customers, listen to their individual needs, and provide expert, friendly guidance.
- Maintain deep product knowledge across firearms, ammo, optics, and accessories.
- Assist customers with gun safe sales and special orders.
- Process transactions with strong attention to detail and accurate paperwork handling.
- Supervise our state-of-the-art indoor shooting ranges to ensure complete safety and strict policy adherence.
- Check in shooters, set up new range customers, and deliver clear safety briefings.
- Assist with basic range maintenance and customer troubleshooting.
- Lead indoor range and classroom training sessions for shooters of varying skill levels.
- Open to candidates with prior instructional experience holding NRA, Law Enforcement (LE), or Act 235 certifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Prior firearms retail, internet sales, customer service, or firearms instruction experience preferred.
- Certifications: Active NRA, LE, or Act 235 instructional certifications are a strong plus.
- Customer Focus: Strong communication skills with a passion for helping others in the industry.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or walk for up to 100% of your shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Location: Residing within 15 miles of Target World Inc. is preferred.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
