Mortgage Loan Officer

A community bank in Durango is confidentially hiring an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to serve homebuyers across La Plata County and southwest Colorado. You'll guide purchase and refinance clients from the first conversation through closing.

Responsibilities:

• Interview clients and explain the different mortgage options
• Help clients complete loan applications
• Review credit history and assess risk
• Approve or decline loan applications within guidelines
• View properties when needed
• Track the local real estate market
• Build relationships with realtors and builders to grow referrals

Qualifications:

• Mortgage lending experience in the local market
• Knowledge of FHA, VA, and Fannie Mae guidelines
• Proficient in MS Office
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business
• 5+ years of experience preferred
