Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Anesthesia Location: Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists & 24 HR Emergency Care – Sugar Land, Texas. Overview Our surgical team is rapidly growing and we are looking for a talented and motivated Surgery and Anesthesia Technician to join us. Work with brilliant and caring board certified surgeons, be a part of a team of technicians and surgeons with a positive and engaged culture, and provide high quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Place arterial and central lines, urinary catheters, and NG tubes. Administer local and regional anesthesia. Perform critical care anesthesia including mechanical ventilation and TIVA. Assist with surgical preparation. Client interaction and education during initial consultations and dismissals. Bandage application and changes. Preferred Surgical Experience Orthopedics and arthroscopy. Regular and complex soft tissue. Interventional radiology. Oncologic cases. Qualifications Requirements: LVT with at least 4 years of experience in a specialty surgery and anesthesia setting, knowledge of specialty surgical procedures, surgical assisting experience, instrumentation knowledge, and the ability to independently run up to level-5 ASA anesthesia cases. Experience training junior staff is desired. Schedule Four 10‑hour shifts, or three 12‑hour shifts may be available. Day shift Monday to Friday. On‑call with a call‑in fee. License/Certification Veterinary Technician License required. Veterinary Technician Specialist not required.
