Opportunity:

Physical Therapist - Physical Therapy

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 4x10-hour shift schedule (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM) may also be considered
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• Primarily outpatient setting with some inpatient coverage (80% outpatient, 20% inpatient)
• Cover acute inpatient, Swingbed rehab, and outpatient areas
• Typically 2-3 hours of inpatient and Swingbed coverage per shift followed by outpatient coverage
• Treat an average of 10-12 patients per 8-hour day
• Treat patients with primarily orthopedic conditions (post-surgical, general pain), neurological conditions, imbalance, and weakness
• Must be able to handle a fast-paced, busy environment
• Minimum 1 year of experience outside of school required; 3 years preferred
• Inpatient experience preferred; candidates with outpatient-only experience will be considered
• Prior Cerner experience preferred
• Scrubs or business casual attire acceptable; closed-toed shoes required
• Orientation begins on day one with one-on-one manager training and computer-based trainings; 1-2 days with a preceptor with expectation to manage own patients by day 2 and full caseload by day 3
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), Wisconsin License
• Must clock in and out at the facility

Facility:

This medical center provides a comprehensive range of healthcare services including acute inpatient care, Swingbed rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy services. The facility supports a collaborative work environment with dedicated rehabilitation staff and utilizes Cerner as its charting system. The physical therapy department operates Monday through Friday and is led by an experienced PT manager who provides hands-on orientation and ongoing support for staff.
