As a Registered Nurse First Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the surgical team and enhancing patient care. Your expertise will be vital in assisting with exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other technical tasks during surgery under the supervision of the surgeon. You will also ensure that all procedures are conducted in accordance with hospital policies.

• Prepare and organize sterile supplies, instruments, equipment, and drapes for surgical procedures
• Assist in positioning the patient safely for surgical procedures
• Provide visualization and utilize appropriate techniques for hemostasis
• Assist with closure of body planes and apply appropriate wound dressing
• Insert and secure drainage systems to tissue
• Safely utilize surgical equipment such as pneumatic tourniquets, electrocautery, and endoscopy equipment
• Perform other duties as requested

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program or other recognized first-assisting education program
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire
• Need 1 year experience in setting
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
