PM Custodian PositionWilmette District 39 is seeking a dedicated, reliable PM Custodian to join our facilities team. The PM Custodian plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, is detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a school community.Key Responsibilities:Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas according to district standardsSweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfacesRemove trash and recycling; restock supplies as neededSet up and break down rooms for school events and activitiesPerform light maintenance (e.g., changing light bulbs, minor repairs)Secure the building at the end of your shiftRespond to urgent cleaning needs or spills promptlyFollow all safety guidelines and district policiesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrior custodial or cleaning experience a plusAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable, punctual, and trustworthyPhysically able to perform the duties of the job (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, etc.)Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicalsWork Schedule:12-month positionDuring the school year, PM Custodians work 3:30 p.m. 11:00 p.m.During Summer, Winter, and Spring Breaks, as well as any emergency school closing days, PM Custodians shift to a daytime schedule of 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.Compensation: $20.54/hourBenefits for this position include access to health insurance, dental insurance, long-term disability insurance, and life insurance. Some tuition reimbursement is available for courses in the field of education.
