Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician Location: Iowa Falls, IA 50126 Duration: 12+ months Pay: $16.50 per hour on W2, with a maximum bill rate of $22.30 per hour. Shift schedule: 8‑ or 10‑hour shifts, 4–5 days per week, with occasional weekend shifts beginning at 7 or 8 AM. Job Overview The Laboratory Technician will complete routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety, quality, and operational teams, ensuring accurate results and maintaining lab instrumentation. Responsibilities Perform routine analysis of product testing, including quantitative and qualitative inspections of raw materials, in‑process, and final products. Monitor and maintain instrumentation performance; conduct calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and simple repairs. Document results in active databases and communicate outcomes to internal stakeholders. Assist in developing and maintaining food/feed safety, quality, and regulatory culture. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal procedures. Handle administrative, technical, or customer support issues under general supervision and escalation as needed. Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Qualifications

• Experience in food safety or laboratory testing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with intermediate supervision.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for analytical instruments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
