This role involves a blend of mechanical repair, structural fabrication and modifications to ensure vehicles are both functional and operationally distinct.**Essential Duties/Responsibilities*** Fabrication & Welding: Cut, shape and weld steel and aluminum components to customize truck frames, bodies and chassis.* Upfitting & Installation: Install specialized equipment, including liftgates, dump kits, service bodies and accessory packages.* Blueprints & Specs: Read & interpret, technical drawings, electrical schematics and work orders to ensure precise, high-quality fabrication.* Safety & Quality Control: Adhere to safety protocols, inspect finished work for structural integrity and troubleshoot fitment issues.* Other job duties as assigned.**Required Skills & Qualifications:*** Welding Proficiency: Experience is a bonus. No certification is required.* Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, schematics and work-ready truck specifications.* Tool Proficiency: Experience with shop tools, including torches, plasma cutters, grinders and presses.* Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in confined spaces.* Experience: Previous experience in truck upfitting, automotive fabrication, heavy equipment mechanics or automotive customization is desired, but not required.**Career Growth Path:**This role offers clear growth opportunities within Marmon-Herrington and across Marmon Holdings.
