Unit Information

• Unit: CVICU/CTICU
• Beds: 24
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1–2 (high number of 1:1 assignments)
• Charge Nurse: Patient-free
• PCT Support: Available on days and nights
• Intensivist Coverage: In-house during the day; on-call overnight
• Respiratory Therapy: 24/7
• Pharmacy: 24/7
• Telemetry System: Phillips

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required.
• CVICU experience strongly preferred.
• MUST have recent Level I Trauma experience.
• Experience with CABG, IABP, Impella, CRRT, and advanced cardiac surgery recovery highly preferred.
• Strong IV skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care environment.

Required Certifications

• Active RN License - Arizona license or compact - Required
• BLS
• ACLS
• CCRN preferred

Scheduling Requirements

• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Holidays worked as needed based on unit coverage

Floating Requirements

• Float to all ICU units as needed.
• Float to Telemetry units with a potential ratio of 4:1.
• May be required to float to St. Joseph Westgate campus.
