Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/27/2026\n Duration: 12 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 27, 2026\n Length: 12 weeks\n Openings: 2\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and a compact or OK RN license.Details\n \n Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department serving a comprehensive stroke center, transplant center, burn center, LVAD, total heart, PICU, NICU, and L&D populations\n Fast-paced, high-acuity department seeing approximately 175-200 patients per day\n ED performs ECMO cannulation and serves as a chest pain center\n Unit typically has 30 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4\n Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM\n Rotating on-call and rotating weekend call required\n Floating to other departments and sister Integris facilities within a 75-mile radius may be required\n Epic experience preferred\n Block scheduling requests are not accommodated\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (Compact or OK State license) required, pending licenses not accepted\n BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and ESI certifications required\n TNCC certification preferred\n Minimum 2 years of ER experience in an acute care setting required, 3 years preferred\n Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred\n Charge nurse experience preferred\n Skilled in emergency care across psychiatric, pediatric, respiratory, neurological, and trauma populations, including arterial line management, chest tube management, ICP monitoring, and procedural sedation\n Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and 12-lead EKG acquisition\n Must be a seasoned RN; prior travel experience not required\n Must provide valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill matching address, dated within the last 3 months\n Two supervisory references required\n Copies of certifications required at time of consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Provide emergency care to a highly acute and diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, neuro, pediatric, and psychiatric cases\n Perform triage and utilize isolation precautions/PPE as needed\n Support multisystem organ dysfunction and shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations\n Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted\n Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO allowed\n Former Integris employees must have at least 1 year of separation from the facility to be eligible\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n Any gaps of 3 months or more in work history must be explained\n Modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-761554.
