Work Environment

The Position is based onsite through home care visits in Clearwater and surrounding areas. Our therapists enjoy the flexibility of choosing their own schedules, working Monday to Friday. This system fosters work-life balance while enabling therapists to provide their services in the clients' comfortable home settings, allowing for tailored, individualized therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations, documenting findings accurately.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's unique conditions, utilizing varied therapeutic approaches such as therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities like heat or cold therapy.
• Implement treatment interventions aimed at alleviating pain, enhancing mobility, and improving overall physical function, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on ongoing evaluations and patient feedback.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, recovery strategies, and the proper use of any necessary assistive devices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists and primary care physicians, to provide holistic care and comprehensive patient education.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Engage in continuous professional development and education, attending workshops, seminars, and training to keep current on best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an integral part of our team, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from children to the elderly, each with unique orthopedic challenges. This role involves treating individuals with various conditions, including post-operative care, fractures, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal disorders, ensuring targeted interventions that facilitate recovery and ease of mobility.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong organizational capabilities, with a focus on accurate tracking of patient outcomes.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of patients in their home environment.

Preferred Experience

• Although prior experience is not required, any background in orthopedic physical therapy will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with assistive devices and adaptive equipment is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
