Job Title: Technical Design Engineer Location: Dublin (Ballycoolin) Our client, a long-established supplier of roofing and building materials to the construction industry, is searching for a Technical Design Engineer. The company supplies customers nationwide and has established a strong reputation within the construction sector. The successful candidate will provide technical specification support to the technical sales team. The role will involve preparing technical calculations, roofing designs, construction detail drawings, project specifications, and supporting documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional with strong AutoCAD and Revit skills to join an established organisation. Key Responsibilities:Provide technical specification support to the technical sales teamComplete thermal insulation calculations and support the development of roofing solutionsDesign tapered roofing schemes using appropriate technical softwareCarry out rainwater calculations and wind load calculationsPrepare construction detail drawings using AutoCAD 2D and RevitPrepare and manage company technical documentationDevelop project specifications incorporating product build-ups, performance requirements, installation clauses, and other relevant technical informationProvide technical support to the sales team throughout the specification and project processEnsure technical documentation and project information is prepared accurately and to the required standardsCollaborate with internal teams to support the successful delivery of customer and project requirementsKey Requirements:Minimum of 3 years' experience using AutoCAD and RevitPrevious experience within the construction industry is essentialStrong technical understanding of roofing, building materials, or construction-related applicationsExperience producing technical drawings and construction detailsAbility to carry out technical calculations, including thermal insulation, rainwater, and wind load calculationsProficient in Microsoft Office packagesStrong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentationGood communication and organisational skillsSafe Pass certificationFor a confidential discussion and more information on this Technical Design Engineer role, please contact Jamie Fannon: View email address on click.appcast.io 0906450761
