Lead Performance Engineer/Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Lead Performance Engineer/Architect for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing enterprisescale performance testing strategies to ensure application scalability, reliability, and stability.

Rate Range: $56/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Lead Performance Engineer/Architect Job Responsibilities include:

• Design and execute comprehensive performance testing strategies for web, API, and cloud-based applications.
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, K6, or Gatling.
• Conduct load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing to identify system bottlenecks and risks.
• Analyze performance metrics using monitoring tools like Datadog and Dynatrace, providing actionable insights.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps and development teams.
• Prepare detailed performance reports and guide stakeholders on optimization and scalability improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of experience in performance engineering and testing roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, K6, Gatling, and monitoring tools like Datadog and Dynatrace.
• Proven experience designing performance test frameworks, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and analyzing performance bottlenecks across web, API, and cloud-based microservices architectures.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $60.00 per hour
