Midwest Regional Operations ManagerOur client is seeking a Midwest Regional Operations Manager to lead operations across four locations throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. This role is ideal for a strong operations/logistics leader who has experience managing through other leaders, driving accountability, and building a high-performing culture across multiple locations. The successful candidate will bring strong operational knowledge across areas such as warehouse, distribution, fleet, delivery, field service, or healthcare logistics, along with the leadership skills needed to coach managers, improve processes, and drive consistent execution across the region. This is a highly visible regional leadership opportunity with responsibility for approximately $12.2M in combined operations, including four General Managers and Site Supervisors. The position is based out of Elmhurst, IL, with approximately 25% travel throughout the region.Key Responsibilities:Lead regional operations across four locations in Elmhurst, IL; Waukesha/Milwaukee, WI; Minneapolis, MN; and Chippewa Falls/Eau Claire, WI.Directly lead, coach, and develop 4 General Managers and Site Supervisors, establishing clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.Build a strong leadership culture that balances accountability with approachability, trust, and a clear understanding of the organization's mission.Provide operational oversight across logistics and dispatch, warehouse/inventory, fleet, staffing, service levels, safety/compliance, KPIs, customer escalations, and overall performance.Monitor and improve key operational metrics including route performance, same-day capacity, delivery accuracy, service responsiveness, staffing, and operational efficiency.Own approximately $12.2M in combined regional P&L responsibility, understanding how decisions around labor, fleet, inventory, routing, and service impact financial performance.Develop and execute strategies to improve operational performance, consistency, productivity, and profitability across multiple locations.Partner with General Managers to identify performance gaps, provide coaching and feedback, and establish clear accountability for results.Lead staffing and performance management initiatives, including performance feedback, disciplinary action, and termination recommendations when necessary.Maintain consistent standards and accountability across locations while recognizing the unique needs of each operation.Support new-account onboarding and service expansion by ensuring operational readiness across staffing, routing, fleet, inventory, training, and service delivery.Help lead the organization through continued growth, including the launch of a new warehouse expected to come online within the next six months.Build strong relationships with employees and leaders throughout the organization and serve as a hands-on operational resource.Be willing to step into the operation when needed and participate in warehouse, delivery, pickup, equipment, and other operational activities rather than managing solely from a desk.Travel approximately 25% throughout the region, visiting each location at least once every couple of months.Requirements:3+ years of operations management experience, with multi-location or regional leadership experience strongly preferred.Proven experience leading through other managers, including developing, coaching, and holding leaders accountable for performance.Strong background in logistics, warehouse, distribution, fleet, field service, delivery operations, healthcare logistics, or a comparable operational environment.Experience managing a multi-site operation with responsibility for KPIs, staffing, service levels, and financial performance.Strong understanding of P&L management and the relationship between operational decisions and financial results.Proven ability to improve underperforming teams and managers through coaching, clear expectations, accountability, and development.Strong change-management and influencing skills, with the ability to raise standards while building trust and maintaining a positive culture.Experience managing operational performance across locations where you are not physically present every day.A hands-on leadership style with a willingness to jump into the operation and do whatever is necessary to support the team and the customer.Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, General Managers, Site Supervisors, and senior leadership.Healthcare, hospice support, logistics, warehouse, distribution, fleet, or field-service experience is highly relevant.Key Details:Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 base salary, with some flexibility for the right candidate.Location: Elmhurst, IL — with approximately 25% regional travel throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance availableRegional Scope:Elmhurst, IL — approximately $7.5M P&LWaukesha/Milwaukee, WI — approximately $2.7M P&LMinneapolis, MN — approximately $1M P&LChippewa Falls/Eau Claire, WI — approximately $1M P
