We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As our new Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. You will perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity.Your tasks and responsibilities may include:You will use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.You will prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders. You may administer and record dosages as well.You will perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film.You will position patients and adjust immobilization devices.You will compassionately explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns.You will monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation.You may assist with transporting patients.Qualifications: Vocational/Technical SchoolingAssociate Degree Graduate of an accredited and AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training programCurrent/Active Florida Nuclear Medicine LicenseMinimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Nuclear Med TechnologistCurrent American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association upon hire; ACLS within 6 month of hireAbility to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is a 138 bed community hospital.
