RN - Medsurg

The RN provides direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients admitted to a 16 bed Medical Surgical/ Step Down Unit within a Critical Access Hospital. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, telemetry monitoring, patient and family education, and coordination of care with the interdisciplinary team. The RN must be able to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, provide stabilization when needed, and facilitate transfers to higher levels of care. This position requires strong clinical judgement, critical thinking, and the ability to care for a divers patient population in a rural healthcare setting while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality initiatives.
