Responsibilities Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement. Organizes and supervises care provided by supportive personnel. Coordinates care provided by ancillary services, including patients and significant others/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Educates patients and families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and is responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. Participates in staff meetings and other unit activities. As a Registered Nurse for Baptist Health You Will Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition. Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement. Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care. Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital. Coordinate care provided by ancillary services. Act as the patient advocate. Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities. Education / Degree Required Associate of Science in Nursing or Diploma Nurse. Degree Preferred Bachelor of Arts / Science (BA/BS). Experience 1-2 years Cardiac Experience preferred. 1-2 years Telemetry Experience. Hospital experience. Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
