Director, Strategic Finance

A leading global alternative asset manager is seeking a strategic finance leader to join its Financial Analysis & Reporting team. This highly visible role partners directly with executive leadership to deliver financial analysis, business insights, and strategic recommendations that drive firmwide decision-making. The ideal candidate combines exceptional financial modeling skills with commercial judgment, thrives in ambiguous environments, and has experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within alternative asset management, investment banking, or other sophisticated financial institutions. Responsibilities Lead firmwide strategic finance initiatives and cross-functional projects supporting executive decision-making. Develop and maintain financial forecasts, scenario analyses, and long-range planning models. Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reporting for senior leadership. Analyze key drivers of revenue, expenses, capital requirements, and overall business performance. Build scalable financial models and enhance reporting capabilities across the organization. Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for executive stakeholders. Partner closely with business leaders to evaluate strategic initiatives and investment opportunities. Improve financial planning processes, reporting standards, and analytical frameworks. Support budgeting, forecasting, and business performance management activities. Present financial analyses and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in strategic finance, corporate strategy, investment banking, alternative asset management, or a related environment. Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities. Experience supporting executive-level strategic decision-making. Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects. Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive-level stakeholders. Strong commercial judgment and problem-solving abilities. Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
