SPT Educator - Day Shift

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Weekend requirements will vary depending on needs.

Job Description: The SPT Educator will be responsible for providing training and education within the sterile processing department. The role requires in-depth knowledge of sterilization principles, microbiology, and infection prevention practices. The educator will also support the team in understanding instrument names, functions, and specialty sets.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver educational programs and training sessions for staff.
• Ensure compliance with sterilization standards and infection control practices.
• Provide guidance on instrument handling and processing protocols.
• Assist in the preparation of educational materials and resources.
• Collaborate with the sterile processing team to identify training needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of educator experience.
• 3 years of experience in sterile processing and/or operating room.
• Certification in sterile processing from CRCST HSPA or CBSPD is required.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization principles and infection prevention practices.
