Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Systems Engineer II/vCIO Division: Managed IT ServicesBranch: Pleasanton, Santa Rosa and San MateoReports to: Managed IT Service Manager The System Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of our internal IT infrastructure as well as providing technical assistance to team members and end users with system and network requests. The focus is on Systems support but a solid networking and security foundation is critical to success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support services forMicrosoft related technologies: Windows Server 2016,2019, Exchange, SQLMicrosoft 365 Administration portal experience Virtualization technologies: VMware and Hyper-V Azure and AWS knowledge and implementation experience Firewalls and remote access: SonicWall, Net Extendero 2FA experience: Duo, Google, MicrosoftNetworking: Unifi, HP, Cisco-Experienced in VLANs, DHCP, DNS and general Network Topology Administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system (RMM): update agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic system reviewDevelop and document maintenance routines for all computer systemsSupport of WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and securityDocument all work performed as tickets and time entries in our ConnectWise Manage PSAField Service Support- Troubleshooting and ongoing hardware support(reliable transportation is required)Refresh Projects- Participate in projects where current hardware is replaced to include but not limited to: firewalls, network switches, AP’s, workstations, servers etc. Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required: 7+ years’ experience with Servers, virtualization technologyServer and Network experienceProfessional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCITP, MCSA, or MCSEAbility to speak with C-Level Management and assist in the creation of business technology roadmapsUnderstanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT servicesTyping skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request detailsMSP experienceAccept escalations from the helpdeskEscalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levelsBusiness awareness: and understanding of product management cyclesDocument internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilitiesResponsible for entering time and expenses as they occur
