JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsible for just-in-time planning, material requirements planning, capacity planning, and production activity control.Coordinates planning strategy for dependent and non-master items.Converts planned orders to production orders and purchase orders for dependent and non-master items. Verifies material and capacity available. Releases production orders for manufacturing.Converts requisitions into purchase orders with suppliersReconciles problems by identifying work error messages, expediting material shortages, and coordinating with other planners, sales and Purchasing. Balances demand with capacity for dependent and non-master items.Serves as a member of supply chain, warehouse and logisticsRequires product knowledge and knowledge of Just-in-Time, Lean Manufacturing, Materials Requirements Planning, Capacity Planning, ERP, Strategic sourcing, and Production Activity Control.Prepares sourcing packages for projectsSource vendors of material, equipment or suppliers and interview them to determine product availability and terms of salesPrepare and process purchase orders for supplies and equipmentReview purchase order claims for conformance to company policyResolve any invoices issues with the suppliersResolve any delivery/material issues with the suppliersEnsure on time delivery from all suppliersDirect and coordinate activities of buying and distributing material, equipment, machinery, and suppliesAdminister on-line purchasing systemsAdditional duties as assignedComplete the backlog report on a weekly basisJOB REQUIREMENTS3-5 years of work experience in retail inventory planning, allocation, and/or manufacturing4-6 years of systems and technology experience working in a manufacturing, procurement, or customer service related capacity.Displays attention to detail, with strong analytic and organizational skillsProficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and WordProficient in MRP and ERP systems (SAP)Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken and written EnglishProficient ability to work collaboratively with others; conduct working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organizationProficient ability to remain effective under stress, and respond to pressure in a manner acceptable to others and to the organizationDemonstrated ability to model customer-focused behaviors leading to outstanding customer experiencesConsistently demonstrates a commitment to Corporate policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilitiesGood skills in negotiating, expediting and vendor performance evaluationKnowledge and training in purchasing in various fields (electronic, mechanical, and chemical components)Good understanding of both inventory and manufacturing systemsAbility to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated planning and analytical skillsPlanning system and business Intelligence tool experience a plusAPICS certification is a plusPurchasing and product experience requiredAdvanced organization and communication skillsProcess orientedExperience working in a team environmentBUSINESS UNITSeatrium Limited #J-18808-Ljbffr
