This setup fosters team-based strategies to enhance patient recovery and engagement in their treatment plans.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring function, collaborating with clients to establish achievable rehabilitation goals.Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants to ensure effective delivery of care in accordance with the treatment plan, offering guidance and support during therapy sessions.Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities, utilizing diagnostic and prognostic methods to assess their strengths and areas of improvement.Analyze and recommend modifications to clients' home environments to facilitate rehabilitation, increasing their independence and comfort.Administer therapeutic exercises and techniques such as manual therapy, traction, and electrical stimulation to aid recovery and restore function.Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, providing recommendations to physicians for further modifications as needed.Document clinical records meticulously, preparing initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to maintain compliance with industry standards.Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases, contributing insights on treatment plans and overall wellness strategies.Educate clients and their families on therapy techniques, progress, and the use of assistive devices to empower them in their recovery journey.Ensure timely submission of documentation and adherence to the operational policies of the facility.Conduct regular assessments and adjustments of therapy plans based on observable changes in the client's condition during therapy.Fulfill administrative responsibilities and participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with industry best practices.Patient Population / Client FocusThis position involves working with a diverse range of orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your role is critical in fostering recovery and enhancing the physical capabilities of clients limited by injury, surgery, or disability. Tailoring treatment plans to meet the specific cultural and personal needs of each patient will be imperative to achieving positive outcomes.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.Current valid state license as a Physical Therapist.A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting.Certifications, including current CPR certification, are required.Preferred ExperienceExperience with advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities pertinent to orthopedic care.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and patient management.Prior involvement in interdisciplinary team settings, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.Compensation and BenefitsThe annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
