Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in healthcare to lead and deliver critical projects in a fully remote environment . This role offers the opportunity to manage impactful initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. There is potential for long-term or permanent hire for the right candidate.

Location: Hybrid near Schenectady, NY
Pay Rate: $30-$40/hour (DOE)
Position Type: Contract (potential for permanent hire)
Experience: 3-5+ years of project management experience required
Industry: Healthcare experience required

Key Responsibilities for the role of Project Manager include:

• Lead projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget
• Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation
• Apply project management methodologies including planning, execution, risk management, and change management
• Coordinate and manage project resources to ensure proper alignment with project goals
• Maintain and share clear, timely project documentation with all stakeholders
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication and issue resolution
• Facilitate meetings , provide status updates , and ensure stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify risks and issues proactively and implement mitigation strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities

Qualifications for the Project Manager:

• 3-5+ years of professional project management experience , including at least 2 years leading projects
• Healthcare industry experience required
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
• Experience with project planning, scheduling, and resource management
• Excellent leadership , organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills , with the ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders
• Ability to effectively lead meetings and drive project progress
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project or similar)
• Ability to manage multiple detailed projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Project Management certification (PMP) and/or Six Sigma certification
• Experience working in cross-functional or remote team environments
