The role of General Neurologist is located in Knoxville, TN, with a 100% outpatient setting. There are 3 neurologists with no call responsibilities. Full-time support is provided by a neuro-trained Advanced Practice Provider, with plans to expand the team soon. Access to a large referral network within the healthcare system, connecting to over 1,500 affiliated providers, is available. There is potential to develop a subspecialty practice for those interested. The work week is shorter, promoting a strong work/life balance. Assistance is available for treatments such as trigger point injections, BOTOX, and nerve blocks. Patients have access to an on-site infusion suite. PA and NP support staff are available. The role serves as a role model of professionalism to all members of the interdisciplinary health care team, collaborates with all other practitioners and clinical support staff to form a high performing team, provides high-value care, and documents all patient care activities and services provided in the electronic health record.
