Each brand benefits from the global scale and shared best practices that come from ownership by Restaurant Brands International Inc.Summary:The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis will play a key role in supporting the financial management and reporting functions of Burger King Company Restaurants. This includes overseeing month-end closing and reporting processes, analyzing P&L, and providing insights on financial performance. The role collaborates closely with departments such as Corporate Accounting, IT, and Shared Services to ensure financial results align with U.S. GAAP. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will drive process automation, budget formulation, and ad hoc reporting. This position requires a finance or accounting background and strong communication skills to present findings clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week.Key Responsibilities:Month-End Closing & Reporting:Assist with month-end closing for Burger King Company Restaurants, known internally as WhopperCo, providing commentary and insights on financial results.Manage monthly processes for utility accruals and subsequent research on expected variancesReconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data to ensure accuracyManage timely processing of operating expenses for various restaurant level national vendorsCollaborate with Corporate Accounting and Shared Services to maintain alignment with U.S. GAAP standardsFinancial Analysis & Budgeting:Conduct monthly financial analysis and assist in the preparation of forecasts, working with business stakeholders to ensure accurate resultsCompile budgetary and fiscal data for various restaurant level P&L accountsSupport restaurants in actual vs budget explanations and management of utility usageProcess Automation & Project Support:Identify opportunities to automate routine financial processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracyLead and allocate work within the team, ensuring high-quality completion and adherence to timelinesData Presentation & Stakeholder Support:Summarize and present financial data, insights, and recommendations to management, as neededSupport quarterly, annual and interim audit requestsQualifications:Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.3+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with a preference for experience in franchise operations.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.Additional Skills:Strong organizational skills to meet tight reporting deadlines and manage multiple tasks.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information both verbally and in writing.Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailBase salary range of $85,000 – $100,000. Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills.This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics.
