About the Position

Job Title: Nursing Administration Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Administration Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted License: RN Certifications: BLS; CST: BLS; Surgical Assistant: BLS, ACLS, PALS, SA Certification; Anesthesia Tech: BLS; Certification preferred Must-Have: Nurses must be able to circulate in ENT and ortho. Able to scrub highly preferred. CST: experience with above surgeries. Surgical Assistant: experience with the above surgeries. Anesthesia Tech: must have anesthesia knowledge and OR environment experience. Experience with setup of anesthesia equipment. Description: Unit Information includes 6 beds with a mixture of general, GYN, urology, ENT, vascular, spinal, and dental cases. Average patient load is undetermined. Patient ratios are unspecified. Support within the department includes a unit secretary, a charge nurse who takes an assignment, and resource nurses. The unit has 24/7 respiratory therapist and hospitalist support, and intensivist support available 24/7. Technology used in the unit includes EMR: Epic, IV Pump: Alaris, and medication dispensing systems. Floating may occur based on needs; CST, Surgical Assistant, and Anesthesia Tech may float to various units around the facility to act as a sitter. Weekend rotation requires being on call 2-3 times per week, with one weekend call per month. Holiday expectations include being on call. Request time off must be approved by management. Scrub colors are provided.
