In this role you will work in close partnership with Construction Project Managers to complete land development design, planning and permitting for various Design/Build projects.A Day in the Life:Meet with customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and work to define direction of project with design/build contracting teamDevelop and manage relationships with external surveying, due diligence and landscape architecture consultants.Perform site investigative due diligence and work with contracting team to value engineer sitesPrepare schematic site plan, grading & utility plans to illustrate site developability based on site constraintsPerform storm water detention analysis, site utility design, and earth work analysis to best inform site planning effort for cost and constructabilityAct as a subject matter expert for construction project managers and junior engineering associatesNecessary Qualifications:Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (or related degree)3-6+ years of hands-on land development experience in an engineering firmExperience managing/mentoring a team is highly preferredComputer skills: proficiency using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft ProjectWhat We Can Offer You:Industry-leading performance-based bonus programEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Traditional and Roth 401kTuition reimbursement for associatesScholarship for associates' children up to $28,000 per child1-month paid sabbatical after every five years of employment, plus $5,000 for travel1-week paid volunteer leave each year100% charitable matchMedical, dental, and vision insurance coverage100% paid 12-week maternity leaveOur first core value is to treat people fairly and do the right thing.
