Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Schedule: 3 Days/Week | 34.5 Hours Weekly
Job Summary

A leading healthcare facility in the Bronx, New York is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong maternal and child health experience along with expertise in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation. This opportunity offers a collaborative clinical environment focused on delivering high-quality pediatric critical care.
Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric ICU patients in accordance with established clinical standards
• Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and documentation accurately and efficiently
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
• Assist with conscious sedation procedures and patient recovery monitoring
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures with accuracy and professionalism
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital protocols

Requirements
Experience

• Minimum two (2) years of Maternal and Child nursing experience
• Minimum two (2) years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
• Minimum two (2) years of conscious sedation experience

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred

Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN License
• Primary Source Verification from NYSED
• AHA BLS Certification
• AHA PALS Certification
