Preventive Maintenance Team Member

Our organization works with partner companies to source qualified talent for their open roles. The following position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. The position is designed to preserve and enhance equipment, where the primary goal is to prevent the failure of equipment before it occurs.

Reports To: Preventive Maintenance Supervisor

Supervises: N/A

Position: Preventive Maintenance Team Member for Naval/Commercial Ships under construction at Austal USA.

Authorities / Responsibilities:

• Conducts preventive maintenance according to a schedule of planned maintenance actions aimed at the prevention of breakdowns and failures.
• Establish a maintenance schedule, then plan and conduct that maintenance IAW the established schedule.
• Perform equipment checks, oil changes, lubrication, and other preventive procedures.
• Record equipment conditions including but not limited to deterioration and corrosion.
• Follow established procedures, manufacturer's technical manuals, instructions and pre-established guidelines to schedule, plan, and perform the functions of the job.
• Ensure systems readiness for activation.
• Establish a basic understanding of Austal USA procedures such as POS 103, 126, 127 and 130.
