Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Swing Bed / Medical Surgical

Location

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | Floating and on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general skilled nursing (SNF) level of care within a Swing Bed program
• Deliver direct patient care within a Medical Surgical unit setting with a patient ratio of 1:8
• Float to other units within scope of practice and clinical competency, including Rehabilitation and Medical Surgical
• Participate in census-based on-call as needed prior to scheduled shift start when census is low
• Document and manage patient care using the MedHost electronic medical records (EMR) system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of New Mexico
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability and willingness to float to Rehabilitation and Medical Surgical units as needed
• Must be able to complete New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of RN experience, preferably in Medical Surgical or Swing Bed/SNF settings
• Prior experience with MedHost EMR system
• Familiarity with skilled nursing facility (SNF) level of care standards and documentation
