This position may interact with all personnel on a project site at various times throughout the project.Duties/ResponsibilitiesAdministers both the GC and Owner safety program requirements.Develops specific onsite programs, as required.Performs site audits for unsafe practices, conditions-make recommendations and/or know specific regulation on proper corrections.Leads/performs accident investigations.Trains personnel (e.g. Vaughn toolbox-sub in general meetings).Reports WC claims and performs onsite WC administration for both VCC and sub injuries.Performs recordkeeping/document control for HAZCOM, training etc. This includes various reports to Owner.Assists in develop/maintain Hazard Analysis Documentation.Administers First Aid, CPR, AED where necessary.Stays current on safety regulations.Performs other duties and services to ensure a successful project is delivered and client is satisfied.Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.Education and TrainingMinimum of seven years of experience in construction safety or equivalent combinations of CSP, OHST, CHST, etc.Minimum of five years of experience in building construction safety.Current OSHA 500 or 502 training within four years.Current emergency first aid, CPR, and AED training within two years.Working knowledge, experience, and documented continuing education in fall protection, scaffolds, excavation, confined space, crane/equipment operations, electrical, and incident investigation.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to deal with a variety of people from craft workers to project Owners.Ability to maintain credibility with appropriate audiences each day.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Must be bi-lingual or have means to translate between English and Spanish.Good organizational and planning skills.Strong computer skills including MS Office, Email, PDF.
