Senior Firmware Engineer, PHY Devices - Networking

NVIDIA is looking for a creative, highly motivated Firmware Engineer to join the NVLink team within our innovative Networking organization. In this role, you will develop software for next-generation PHY, SERDES and link-level devices, driving the fabric that connects the world’s most powerful AI and high-performance computing systems. As part of this role, you will own the test and validation of software, owning the integration and testing of all Phy Firmware. What You’ll Be Doing: Define and develop high-performance software and firmware for PHY and link-level devices within the NVLink ecosystem. Take full ownership of delivering advanced networking features, ensuring seamless execution from design to final verification. Own, define, develop, and maintain robust, maintainable, and easily portable verification infrastructure and regression test suites. Identify, troubleshoot and own the end-to-end interface to NVIDIA’s core CSP customers. Work closely with Continuous Integration (CI) systems and regression tools to automate builds, run comprehensive test suites, and analyze complex results. Constantly push for excellence by bringing creative ideas to the table, elevating NVIDIA products to the next level of quality and reliability. What We Need to See: Education: B.Sc/Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 5+ years of relevant industry experience working in the semiconductor, networking, or embedded systems space. Software Expertise: Strong programming knowledge in C and C++, with a solid grasp of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) principles. Verification & Linux: Proven hands‑on experience with hardware/software verification, test automation, and a deep working knowledge of the Linux environment. Approach: A highly motivated, creative individual with strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for deep‑tech innovation, and testing. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
