We are seeking a skilled and compassionate dietitian who will serve as a key member of our healthcare team. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care through the development and monitoring of therapeutic diets and nutritional standards. In this key role, you will collaborate closely with medical staff to provide vital nutritional consultancy, while delivering personalized diabetes and education to both inpatient and outpatient populations. This position focuses on improving patient outcomes by developing tailored, sustainable nutritional plans and integrating nutrition therapy into comprehensive patient recovery.

Position Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 pm, occasional weekend call coverage

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and monitor comprehensive nutritional care plans and physician-ordered therapeutic diets.
  • Consult with medical staff regarding patient dietetic needs, restrictions, and specialized care.
  • Ensure compliance with established nutritional standards for the inpatient population.
  • Provide nutritional education to inpatients, as well as individualized diabetes and nutrition coaching for outpatients and their caregivers.
  • Assess patient understanding and cooperation to better integrate nutrition plans into their daily lifestyles.
  • Modify interventions as needed to promote long-term patient success and adherence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate nutrition therapy into the patient's overall medical management.
Qualifications

What You'll Need:

  • At least 2+ years of experience in a related field of dietary work
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Nutrition assessment and intervention for the acutely ill patients.
  • Knowledge of social, cultural and economic factors of individuals and families as they apply to public health nutrition and ability to adapt their food preferences into individual nutritional plans.
  • Knowledge of appropriate educational principles and methods as applied to public health nutritional practice.
