Description DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) – FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES & EXCEPTIONAL TIME OFF! Full‑Time, Hourly $19.00 – $23.10/hour ($28.50 - $34.65/hour weekends). Daily average hourly rates: DSP Drivers $24.50 – $26.95/hour; DSP Non‑Drivers $22.17 – $24.38/hour (including weekend shift). Shifts 3‑day work weeks: 7 am‑7 pm or 7 pm‑7 am. Both AM and Overnight 3‑day work weeks available. 12‑hour shifts allow for full‑time work and up to 16 days off per month; each schedule requires one weekend day each week. Weekend shifts are eligible for premium pay (one and a half times the hourly rate). The Role As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. You will assist with daily living activities, foster independence, promote well‑being, and help individuals connect with their communities. A valid NYS Driver’s License for 18+ months with a clean driving history and successful completion of Brightway Living and Learning Transportation Orientation is required. New hires who do not meet these criteria will be offered a lower rate, starting at $19.00/hour. What You’ll Do Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings. Foster independence by helping individuals develop life skills and make choices. Promote social inclusion by supporting participation in community activities. Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy and patience. Collaborate effectively with a supportive team of DSPs, supervisors, and families.
