Title Food Service Supervisor – Duke University Hospital – Chick-Fil-A – Duke University – Chick-fil-a Requisition # 657391 Location Durham, NC, US, 27710 Job Description We’re hiring full‑time Food Service Supervisors to join our passionate Food Services Team. You will work under a manager who coordinates and leads operations, overseeing staff, collaborating with teammates, and providing support as needed. You’ll help develop your skills and lead with enthusiasm. Job Responsibilities Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets. Direct daily activities. Maintain food production that meets safety and quality standards per policies, procedures, and department requirements. Ensure food items are stored safely and hazard‑free. Maintain all serving schedules and deliver food per menu specifications following Aramark policies. Maintain a sanitary department in compliance with health and safety codes. Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis. Prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production for the location. Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel, promote employee growth, morale, and teamwork. Maintain a safe and hazard‑free working environment. Train/mentor other food service workers. Maintain logs of maintenance required on equipment. Ensure all food‑safety/temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective action. Perform preventative maintenance checklists. Recommend replacement of equipment to meet facility needs. Proficient in multitasking. Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager. Fill in for absent employees as necessary. Stay informed of daily catering events and confirm timely preparation and delivery. Work occasional night and weekend catered events. Attend food‑service meetings with staff. Maintain communication with staff (office, email, phone, inter‑office mail). Perform cashier duties as needed. Promote good public relations. Qualifications Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions. Must complete a sanitation course within the first year. Knowledgeable in operating an efficient, cost‑effective program. Ability to perform basic arithmetic. Maintain emotional control under stress. Resolve interpersonal situations. Strong organizational skills.
