Staff Contracts Negotiator (HYBRID TELEWORK)

Responsibilities Creating contracts, developing negotiation strategies, ensuring contract compliance and efficient contract administration, and establishing and maintaining excellent internal and external customer relations. Advising management on contract matters and risks; compiling and analyzing data; and maintaining historical information. Managing contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to ensure accurate contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, customer specifications, and legal requirements. Leading proposal efforts for contracts by reviewing proposal request terms, conducting risk analysis, collecting contract terms and risks, and assisting program teams in developing mitigation strategies for proposal submissions. Evaluating contract performance to determine the necessity for amendments or extensions, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and overseeing contract close‑out. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Multiple years of professional experience. Experience with federal contracting, negotiation, and administration of USG DoW contracts. Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Experience with all phases of proposal development, contract negotiation, and administration. Experience managing and/or negotiating contracts. Knowledge of various contract types (CPFF, CPIF, FFP, FPIF, T&M, OTAs). Desired Skills Ability to work independently with task orientation and attention to detail. Experience working in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience with USG cost estimating and exposure to finance analysis. Experience with Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) contracting. Positive and enthusiastic attitude; collaborative teamwork. Exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, and program and executive management, with the ability to persuade and motivate action. Knowledge of government property management, data rights, and proposals. Complete understanding and application of government contracting principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
