Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in EMI/EMC design, testing, or related field.
• Deep understanding of electromagnetic theory, circuit fundamentals, and RF principles.
• Knowledge of EMC principles related to PCB layout, component selection and filter design.
• Working knowledge of standards such as ISO Vehicle, IEC, CISPR, FCC, MIL-STD-461, RTCA/DO-160.
• Experience with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, signal generators, RF amplifiers, and antennas.

Responsibilities

• Testing and Validation: Provide guidance and training to EMC test technicians.
• Design Consultation: Work with hardware design teams to apply EMC best practices.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products meet IEC, CISPR, FCC, or automotive standards.
• Troubleshooting: Analyze test results to identify root causes of EMI failures.
• Documentation: Create EMC Control Plans, Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports.
