Surgery - General Physician

Locums - Williston, North Dakota, General Surgery Opening

Start Date: ASAPAssignment Duration: Ongoing Need

Schedule & Shift Details:

• 24-hour shifts (7:00am-7:00am)
• 10 shifts per month from May through July
• Full call coverage assignment

Practice Setting:

• Critical access hospital setting
• General surgery call coverage role
• Supported by hospital providers, staff, and leadership

Clinical Responsibilities:

• General surgery call duties
• General surgery procedures required
• Expected to adhere to institutional protocols and quality metrics
• Expected to mirror prior provider volume

Volume Expectations:

• Approximately 34 surgical cases monthly (historical average)
• Admissions: 1-2 surgical patients per day
• Call coverage: 10 shifts per month

EMR: Meditech

Support Staff:

• Hospital-based support team available
• Administrative and clinical leadership support included

Requirements:

• Board Certified in General Surgery - Required
• Active North Dakota license - Required
• ACLS - Required (if ATLS not held)
• BLS - Required
• ATLS - Highly preferred
• Clean malpractice and background - Highly preferred
