Job Overview Requisition Number: 10645 Pay Range: $41.48 - $93.96 per hour Location: CHA Cambridge Hospital Work Days: Various Category: Registered Nurse Department: PACU PREOP Cambridge Hospital Job Type: Per Diem On Call Work Shift: Various Shifts Hours/Week: 0.00 Union Name: MNA Cambridge Responsibilities Provide all aspects of nursing care for perioperative patients in the preoperative phase and immediate post‑operative phase through discharge. Manage nursing care for patients in pre‑anesthesia testing, surgical day‑care, and PACU. Perform pre‑admission, pre‑op, and PACU nurse duties. Make critical clinical decisions in a fast‑paced environment and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications Current Massachusetts RN License in good standing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred. Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross). Current ACLS certification required (American Heart Association). Current PALS certification required (American Heart Association). One to two years of PACU or critical‑care related experience required; recovery of patients over a continuum of care from general, regional or local anesthesia and moderate sedation preferred.
