Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting License: Active RN License Certifications: Active BLS - must be AHA Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting Active RN License Active BLS certification - AHA Willingness to float to any Medical Surgical unit if needed Travel experience required EPIC experience Experience working in a busy level one trauma center Description: The position involves caring for adult trauma, medical, and surgical patients with a wide range of medical and surgical needs. The nurse will perform assessments, provide education, and utilize electronic documentation systems. The unit is certified for specific medical programs. The nurse may float to various units or departments as required. The patient-to-nurse ratio during night shifts is approximately 1:5-6. The role involves self-scheduling, but availability on certain shifts will depend on unit needs. All staff must badge in and out of the facility. Scrub color for staff is navy blue. Previous employment with the organization is noted, and candidates must have an end date 6 months prior to application. Travelers must understand the floating policy and the shift requirements, including weekend and holiday obligations.
