As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams on patients using specialized equipment. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results. Hours for this position are d

ay shifts; Week 1 Sunday, Wednesday - Friday; Week 2 Wednesday- Saturday. Maintains American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions. Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy. Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality. Assists and instructs students and other CT Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment. Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques. Understands and operates CT equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images. Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures. Functions as education liaison for new students, trainer for new employee orientation, Superuser for equipment, hospital/system group discussions or committees as the CT representative as delegated per local department manager.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - (ARRT)(R) Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers ~ Computed Tomography Certification/Registration, Interventional CT, Cryo/microwave ablations, CT Coronary Angiography, TAVR, TMVR, Cardiac, Stroke perfusion imaging, Pediatric CT (less than 15yrs of age) in at least 80% of patient workload). Note: Must complete a minimum of 5 cases per specialty procedure accompanied with documented skills pass off by a lead CT tech.

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
