Nocturnist Physician

Schedule: 6 12 shifts per month
Shift: Monday Sunday, 7 PM 7 AM (day shifts not available)
Call: None
Scope of Practice:
Provide on-site evaluation, management, and treatment of adult patients admitted to the hospital. Facilitate all admissions:
Responsible for direct admissions from clinics and outside hospitals
Complete admissions from the ETC by re-evaluating patients and entering admit orders
Collaborate with the ICU physician and Rapid Response Nurse Practitioner to respond to all Code Blue (CB) and Rapid Response (RR) situations
Respond promptly to all pages and calls unless managing CB/RR
Hospital Info:
Cancer center with Evaluation & Treatment Center (ETC)
225 beds, including an 18-bed ICU and ETC beds
EMR: EPIC
Requirements:
Board Certified in Internal Medicine
Active California medical license
Reliable transportation (drive-in provider)
Minimum 5 shifts per month available
Clean NPDB
Epic experience
Current or recent nocturnist experience within the past 12 months
